Product Description

The KV-24RW is a Keyence micro-PLC.  This unit is designed with 16 inputs and 8 outputs.  The unit is a 24 VDC programmable base unit.  

The KV-24RW is a conventional KV series unit.  Unlike the Visual KV series, this unit does not have an LCD screen located on its front panel that will allow the user to access data locally. 

The KV-24RW includes two RJ-11 modular connectors.  These are used for serial communication.  Both ports can be used for the transfer or monitoring of programs.  However, users should never connect a handheld programmer and ladder software to the ports at the same time. 

The KV-24RW can be programmed using a number of basic instructions.  These are available in Keyence manuals.   Instructions include Load, Set, Reset, Timer, Counter, up-down Counter, Keep, Shift, High Speed, Master Control, Master Control Reset, End, and End Hi. The unit also has a number of interrupts.  The maximum response frequency is 10 kHz. 

The unit includes Direct input and output options during the execution of interrupt routine.  More information about this is included in Keyence user guides.
