The KV-24R from Keyence is a small programmable logic controller with 24 inputs. This is a basic unit from the company. AX Control has many of these units in stock; please be sure to order the correct unit for your application. While this unit has been discontinued by the OEM, our company does our best to maintain on-hand inventory at all times.
The KV-24R is a 24VDC unit in the Visual KV series. This series of PLCs is very small to save installation space. The unit has a backlit access window provided. This allows users to monitor and change data on the device. The unit allows changes between modes and error code checking without the need for an additional handheld device. Also, The access window allows 256 user messages to be displayed, which allows instructions or other information to be given to users.
The KV-24R is capable of using ladder programs to change the system while the unit is running. The KV-24R has two serial ports located on its front faceplate. These allow the PLC to connect to peripheral devices.
The KV-24R has a high-speed interrupt function as well as time constant change function and double memory backup. It is compatible with many conventional KV peripheral units.
