The KV-16EX unit is an expansion KV unit from Keyence. This unit is one of several PLC (programmable logic controller) units available within AX Control inventory originally sourced from Keyence’s KV basic super-small PLC.
The KV-16EX expansion unit offers internal current consumption that is converted into 24 DC values. The unit can be used in relative humidity of 35 to 85%, noncondensing. It is rated for use in temperature ranges from 32 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit.
The KV-16EX can withstand voltages of 1,500 V AC for up to one minute. It has a noise resistance of 1,500 Vp-p or more. The unit has impact resistance ratings that conform to JIS B 3502 and IEC 61131-2. This unit weighs approximately 130 grams before preparation for shipment.
The KV-16EX includes a front LCD screen that will display some information to the user. Additionally, it has 16 I/O points for input and output. This unit is compatible with both PCs and handheld devices. As a user-friendly device, the unit offers data entry from either a mouse or a keyboard. This allows fast programming options.
