Product Description

HE693OIU157J-01 is an Operator Interface Unit from the HE693OIU series distributed by Horner. This unit is designed to give a user the ability to access key information and PLC condition while it is in operation. This variation of Operator Interface Unit (OIM) is a revision of the earlier version of the HE693OIU157. Most of the revisions involve updating of the default software version, improvement of the firmware, and changing hardware capabilities. The hardware changes largely add additional features such as SNP Pass Through, Hand Held Programmer Emulation, and Eight User Definable Characters. Additionally, this OIM has an internal Real-time Calendar Clock and the ability to configure the device from the Keypad, both functions which are not universally available in HE693OIU series products.

The key component of the OIM are the 2 x 16 Liquid Crystal Display, the 20 Key number pad, and the 12 function keys. These controls and Indicators are important for navigating the OIM software which is organized into “screens.” There are multiple types of screens, including Product Information, Machine status, Machine Setpoints, Operator Prompting, Alarm Enunciation, and Troubleshooting. The former three types can be accessed from the keypad. Product Information Screen could include Product Count as well as Parts/Hour. Machine status screens include screens for technical information such as Temperatures and Pressures. Machine Setpoints menus focus on timer setpoints. The Troubleshooting screen requires a password input from the keypad to access. This screen can perform tasks such as adjusting PID Setpoints. Contact AX Control if you have any questions
