HE800OCS100 is an Operator Control Station that is manufactured by Horner APG as part of the SmartStack HE800 series. This operator control station (OCS) module can be used in the DeviceNet Network. The operating temperature has to stay between -10°C and 60°C. This module is enclosed in a NEMA 4-12 rated enclosure. The typical power draw is 160 mA at 24 VDC and the inrush current is 200 mA at 24 VDC for 70 ms. the CAN power range is 12-25 VDC and the CAN power current is 75 mA maximum. The height is 5.07 inches, the width is 9.00 inches, and the mounting depth is 2.00 inches.
There are 17 user keys on the keypad. 10 of the keys are user-programmable. The keypad faceplate is made of Autotex polyester by Autotype. There can be a maximum of four SmartStack Modules per OCS. The CAN is a CsCan Network. The serial communications connection is a standard 9 pin RS-232 for programming, monitoring, and network administration from a IBM compatible PC. The display on this operator control station has a 2 line x 20 character LCD screen with a backlight. The characters on the display have a width of 4.84 mm and a height of 8.06 mm. When wiring the CAN network, use data conductors (CN_L and CN_H) that are 24 AWG shielded twisted pair for “thin cable” and 22 AWG shielded twisted pair for “thick cable.” Do not attempt to wire this unit without professional knowledge of the equipment.
