HE500TIU200D
This series of industrial automation equipment is the HE 500 line of Operator Control Stations. These units were developed by Horner Electric, though, due to their now outdated nature and upgrades in automation technology, they are now entirely out of production en masse.
The HE 500 line is a series of advanced, all in one models, built for operational control and support of over 100 variations and brands of industrial drives and programmable logic controllers, as well as a wide array of peripheral devices. Not only is it able to interface properly with several devices at once, it is still able to be built into a compact and lightweight, yet durable frame.
The HE 500 lineup consists not just Operator Control Stations. Some models, like this one listed here, are instead classified as Terminal Interface Units. The HE500TIU200D is outfitted with more intense and effective processor power, and allows for increased functionality.
The graphical display of the HE 500 TIU units is outfitted with a cost-effective, power-saving backlight, with a liquid crystal display (LCD), which is available in a full screen illumination set up, but, unique to the TIU models, is also a per character backlighting, only lighting up the characters on screen.
The HE500TIU200D is also capable of connecting to the CsCAN Profibus DeviceNet network, which is able to provide a connection to several other industrial devices. For physical connections, this unit is integrated with a pair of serial ports. One of them is able to communicate with PLCs and drives, and the other is dedicated to accepting the programming updates to configure the unit.
