The HE 500 line of Operator Control Stations was initially produced and manufactured by the industrial company once known as Horner Electric. Since the HE 500 series fell out of production, the company has renamed themselves into Horner APG.
These OCS systems were designed to achieve the work of three different units of industrial equipment. They consist of an operator interface (these models come built in with one), a set of Input and Output modules, and are designed to meet the capabilities of a standard Controller module. The more advanced units of the HE 500 series, the OSC300 and OSC450 units, are outfitted with a resistive touch screen.
The HE500OCS551C model’s touch screen has an average measurement of 10.4 inches, or 264.16 millimeters. The systems in the touch screen units are built with a thin film transistor and a Super Video Graphic Array (SVGA) that is designed to render the image in a high quality resolution.
The Input and Output modules integrated into this HE 500 model are upgraded as well, with the capability to integrate with up to 20 variations of the SmartStack Input/Output Expansion modules. There are 4 ports on the unit’s frame physically, but this unit is also fully capable to remotely connect to these I/O Expansion units.
