This model of the HE 500 series is the HE500OCS551, a larger and more advanced model of these units. The HE 500 lineup of products were manufactured and produced by Horner Electric. Since their initial development and release, this series are now out of production and the company has since rebranded into Horner APG.
The HE 500 series were designed to work as all in one devices, achieving the same duties as three other individual models. These units are built with an integrated operator interface and a set of Input and Output modules. These units are programmed to complete even more advanced control functions than that of an individual control module. The more advanced models in the HE 500 lineup come with a built in touch screen, as opposed to more rudimentary text display systems.
The HE500OCS551 model of the HE 500 series is one that is outfitted with a 10.4 inch (264.16 mm) touch screen unit. The graphics of this screen is displayed in full color, with a thin film transistor display, and rendered in a crisp, high image resolution by the Super Video Graphics Array (SVGA). On the side of this unit are a set of 6 keys, 5 of which are entirely configurable to the operator’s needs, and the sixth of them being dedicated.
This model, and other similar designations in the HE 500 line, come outfitted with an advanced I/O system, which are capable of interfacing with an expansion attachment, the SmartStack I/O expansion module.
