The HE500OCS301KB module is a part of Horner Electric’s extensive lineup of HE 500 Operator Control Stations. These all in one models are built to integrate the capabilities of an operator interface, a controlling module, and an on board I/O series of modules.
The HE 500 series has a subcategory of more advanced and outfitted series of OSC300 models. The HE500OCS301KB model is outfitted with a 5.7 inch (144.78 millimeter) touch screen, in full color. The image resolution supplied by the quarter Video Graphics Array (VGA) is in 320 by 240 pixels.
The touch screen module is integrated with a passive, Super Twisted Nematic display setup (STN display) with a streamlined backlight unit. There’s also an integrated set of six buttons. Five of them are entirely configurable to whatever the user needs, but one of them remains dedicated. This combination of physical keys and a resistive touch screen makes for a balanced, efficient operator module.
The HE500OCS301KB unit is built with an innovative, effective Input and Output module set up. This allows for up to 20 individual expansion modules, the SmartStack Expansion Module, to be integrated remotely with this unit. These I/O expansions can be placed up to 10 meters, or 32.8 feet, away from the HE500OCS301KB.
The OSC300 subcategory as a whole features dual processor capabilities. One of these processors are for logic based functions, and the other for the screen software updates and capabilities. These two combined result in a high quality, high performing device.
