HE500OCS300KA
This unit, the HE500OCS300KA module, is a part of the Horner Electric series of Operator Control Station units. These devices are all a series of all in one pieces of technology. The OCS300 subcategory of the HE 500 series adds a particular upgrade: a full color touch screen. This touch screen is integrated into the unit at an average 5.7 inches.
The OCS300 models are outfitted with a quarter video graphics array, at an image resolution of 320 by 240 pixels, and has a full color Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) or a Super Twisted Nematic (STN) display. The touch screen hardware is completely resistive, and there is also a series of six buttons (one of them is dedicated while the rest are five configurable function buttons). The two key pieces of hardware on this unit allow for the seamless advantages of both a touch screen and a function key based module.
The OCS300 models also offer a new Input and Output modules that are included in the unit. The new Input and Output system offers the option of expansion and remote mounting. The Smart Stack expansion modules are able to be safely mounted a short distance away from the HE500OCS300KA (as well as the rest of these models) utilizing the expansion bases and dual fiber optic cables. These cables keep the cost of the unit down, and make it easier for users to have a backup supply in case they break.
Up to 20 SmartStack expansion modules are able to connect to the HE500OCS300KA, and work in an operational range of up to 10 meters, or 32.8 feet.
