This module is a part of the HE 500 series of Operator Control Stations from the Horner Electric company. The HE500OCS083N module is an alternative model of the HE500OCS083 unit. The difference between these two models lies solely in the input and output modules integrated into it.
The HE500OCS083 model is built with a standard set of I/O modules, with a usual range of ports and the intake that is acceptable, but this unit, the HE500OCS083N, is equipped with an analog interface, with a set of two ports, which are able to handle an intake of 4 to up to 30 volts of direct current, or as an alternative intake, 4 to 20 milliamperes.
The HE 500 series as a whole is outfitted with a standard graphical information display, which aids the users in visualizing the automation process and locating the specific machine under its control. These models are designed to be successfully integrated with a memory card unit, a MicroSD. The MicroSD card can locally store data and information for easier and more efficient on site transfer, and is able to hold HE 500 programming updates.
The network connectivity options for the HE 500 series include such options as an Ethernet connection and both a wireless and telephone modem. These three options for communication allow these Operator Control Station to be able to be more efficient with its data sharing, both on site and remotely.
