The HE 500 model of Operator Control Stations shares several similar features in both its size, frame, and internal and external hardware. These units are the same size, only 3.75 inches in average, or alternatively, 92.25 millimeters. The graphic display is outfitted with a thin film transistor, and is placed above the series of direction nodes and buttons, and the LED indicator lights and alarms. The removable application memory that is compatible with the units in this series is the MicroSD memory card. This card allows of local data storage and is able to manage and support program updates to the software.
The HE500OCS037 model of OCS is built with a number of optional connection ports, with an EtherNet port alongside a wireless and hardwired phone modem, used for remote and on-site communication.
