Part of the Universal Relays series, the T60-E00-HCH-F8F-H6T-M8F-P6T-UXX-W6T provides complete, high-speed protection for transformer systems, offering protective functions such as autoreclosure, ground fault protection, and more. 

The T60-E00-HCH-F8F-H6T-M8F-P6T-UXX-W6T relay employs General Electric Multilin’s industry-leading FlexLogic technology, a powerful programming logic engine that enables users to customize control schemes to a highly specified degree. The T60 can use FlexLogic to activate trips at appropriate thresholds and carry out complex series of actions without decreasing reaction speeds within the system. 

This unit replaces the need for expensive copper wiring between devices by offering interoperability using IEC 61850. IEC 61850 attempts to set an international standard for interdevice communications, standardizing a process that previously differed tremendously. IEC 61850 promotes communication between differing devices using GOOSE (generic object-oriented substation events) messaging to transfer time-stamped data between equipment. This feature is optional and not included in this version of the relay; users interested in IEC 61850 software should review Multilin’s order table to determine the right unit for their needs. 

The unit can use its Aging Factor assessment tool to detect transformer aging and indicate when preventative maintenance is required. This feature, in tandem with the unit’s loss of life element, is able to provide a more holistic view of system health over time.
