The relay’s software is also able to update user manuals, brochures, FAQs, and more so that a user’s understanding of the relay is consistent with General Electric’s current information.

Multilin’s G60-N00-HCL-F8L-H6S-M8N-P5A-UXX-WSX offers a number of reports and tools that streamline troubleshooting processes and reduce the amount of time it takes to identify issues and inefficiencies. The Power System Troubleshooting tools are able to record operation of internal elements and external devices in the sequence of when they occur using highly accurate time-stamping. This lends users a greater understanding of system events leading up to trips and alarms, reducing overall troubleshooting time. The system can also trend and graph generator loading and performance on a user-set time scale, ranging from hours to months. Finally, the relay can evaluate generator faults using both digital and analog power system quantities, recorded at a rate of 64 samples per cycle. 

The relay works closely with Multilin’s EnerVista software program, so it is highly encouraged that users connect a computer running the software to the relay through the RS232 port located on the faceplate, the relay’s USB port, or the rear RS485 port. The software program has extremely minimal requirements for the computer running it, reducing the need for expensive hardware to support the relay. The software is easily installed from DVD or Multilin’s website, and its Plug and Play technology allows users to begin monitoring the system and conveniently editing systems quickly and efficiently.
