Part of the Universal Relays series of Multilin products, GE’s F60-H04-VFH-F8L-H6L-MXX-PXX is a full-featured Feeder Protection and Management System. The F60 relay offers configurable I/O options, integrated metering and monitoring, holistic system protection, extensive programming versatility, and high-speed communications. Its safeguarding features include time overcurrent protection, overfrequency and underfrequency protection, and overvoltage and undervoltage protection.

The relay should be mounted in an easy to access location since the faceplate of the device has a number of practical features such as an alphanumeric display, a row of pushbuttons, a vast number of LEDs, the RS232 port, and a keypad. The alphanumeric vacuum fluorescent display can show system parameters when not in active use, or be utilized alongside the keypad to manually navigate system settings and data. Pushbuttons can be programmed for various functions to quickly execute actions within the system. The LEDs update users on the status of various system processes such as trip and alarm. Finally, the RS232 port can be connected to computer running Multilin’s EnerVista UR program, which provides a vastly improved and easy-to-navigate interface. 

The EnerVista UR software program provides a suite of tools that simplify relay integration, streamline data monitoring and trending, and and allow for convenient modification of setpoints. EnerVista also helps users carry out postmortem diagnostic reviews, offering timestamped events that give a comprehensive history of the processes leading up to system failure. Software features such as the EnerVista launchpad are capable of keeping system documents up to date and can provide assistance when users run into trouble.
