Product Description
Produced by General Electric Multilin (General Electric’s industrial automation branch), the MBM21GA102.000 is a module bay intended for use with the MM300 series. The MBM21GA102.000 is designed to secure and protect the modules necessary for the primary function and optional elements of the MM300 series.
The MM300 relays are built with scalability in mind, and so the modular design of the series is intended to allow users to easily upgrade and replace old modules or install new modules for increased capabilities. Four of the modules designed for the MM300 relays are necessary for function; this includes the modules in slot A, slot B, slot C, and slot D. The slot A module is a power supply module, the slot B module is a CPU module with communications, and the slot D module is a phase current input module. Slot C houses either two form-A contact output relays, six digital inputs and control voltage input or two form-A contact output relays, six digital inputs, and a voltage input.
Detailed instructions on how to properly remove an old module and install a new module are located in the 1601-9023-AD user manual, which is conveniently located on AX Control’s website. The process of module installation is fairly straightforward, and the guide is complete with helpful images in order to specify the correct methodology. Users should ensure that modules are replaced with like modules, or else system misoperation could occur.
