This unit is listed as the IO_D component module, an attachment for the General Electric Multilin MM300 series. The MM300 line of devices are motor control modules, designed to provide protection and apply their control system to low-voltage motor units. These devices offer a wide array of benefits that are regarded as an improvement for most motor control systems.
The MM300 line is designed to be flexible in the applications, able to process multiple functions for communication, protection, and control for low-voltage motors. Physically, these models are designed as ultra compact hardware, able to fit so many applications for IEC and NEMA MCC devices, and eliminating the amount of individual attachments needed to achieve the basic control functions.
The IO_D is classified as a component module that is equipped with a set of four 10 A, form-C output relays. This unit is one of the eight available to be attached to a MM300 unit, and is regarded as an expansion unit. The IO_D is able to be installed into a variety of ports on the standard MM300 frame, in slots E, F, G, and H. This unit has a standard gauge size of 12 AWG, and is outfitted with 5 mm pitch terminals.
