Product Description

The Feeder Manager 2 is a series of equipment produced by General Electric Multilin. The FM2 units combine the usual functions of low voltage power control centers with feeder protection. This unit in particular, the FM2-722-PD module, is a compact, microprocessor-based device that is designed to provide an element of higher control and efficient, protected relaying, better than when compared to a PCC module utilizing discretely attached devices.

The standard features within the FM2-722-PD make it easier for maintenance and plant expansion. Feeder protection is included in this module in case of any possible power failure that occurs for normal reasons. That way, these protections can prevent any costly shutdown procedures, which include phase 3 thermal overloading and earth faults.

At least one FM2 module is required for every contactor and breaker module in a power control center. This unit provides a 2 wire RS485 Modbus protocol communications port in order for high-speed communication to occur with a lineup of PCCs. Any of the FM2 models can be queried and data mined on demand.

The FM2 lineup was developed with similar features regarding protection. There is the 3 phase thermal overload protection (49/51), and earth fault protection (50G) that were previously mentioned, a set of six control input ports, 10 programmable input ports, a set of 2 fixed outputs and one programmable output replay.

This module and the rest of Feeder Manager 2 units, are all available from us at AX Control. These models have been fully refurbished and optimized by our repair staff.
