The 745-W2-P5-G5-HI-R-E is a 745 Transformer Protection System from General Electric Multilin. The 745-W2-P5-G5-HI-R-E can be used to protect and control small, medium, and large power transformers. This relay is a three-phase unit with two windings per phase. 

There are multiple setpoint groups that allow users to select groups of relay settings to address the protection requirements of different power system configurations. The 745-W2-P5-G5-HI-R-E also has monitoring and metering systems. The metering function provides accurate measurements of currents, including:

• Phase A, B, C, residual and ground currents 
• Ground differential currents
• Differential and restraint currents for all phases 

The monitoring systems include asset monitoring, which can help with calculating when to replace a power transformer. There is also an event recording mode that records the last 128 events. The recording will give users the following information for each event:

• Date
• Time 
• Cause 
• System parameters 

This information can be viewed on the front panel or on a computer via communication port.
