Product Description

IC220MDL754 is manufactured by GE Fanuc Automation as part of the VersaPoint controller system. This part is a discrete output module. Protections available on this unit include electronic short circuit protection and overload protection. 90 mA is the maximum current consumption from Local Bus UL, and 8 amps is the maximum nominal current consumption of US. This unit indicated the status of outputs via Bus Diagnostics. The required terminal strip must be ordered separately.

This module’s information can be found on datasheet number GFK-1913. Features of IC220MDL754 include connections for sixteen 24V digital actuators. The storage and operating temperatures may not fall below -25° C (-13° F). The module is used to output 24 VDC digital signals. The differential voltage for Inom is less than or equal to 1V. Tolerance of the nominal current is +10%. Protection of overload per channel is important because channels are thermally grouped in fours, and an error in one channel could negatively affect the other channels.

Auto restart occurs upon overload. The response time with ohmic overload is approximately 3s, the restart frequency with ohmic overload is approximately 400 Hz, and the restart frequency with lamp overload is approximately 400 Hz. The user should be aware that output may be damaged upon inductive overload. This module includes protection against permanently applied reverse voltages and reverse voltage endurance against short pulses. The overcurrent shutdown is 0.7A at minimum. The protective circuit type is an integrated 45V Zener diode in an output chip. The formula for power dissipation of the module can be found in the user manual.
