When installing the servo drive and motor, allow heat dissipation by mounting with sufficient space around the units. Do not mount the motor in direct sunlight or near corrosive gases, liquids, airborne dust, or metallic particles. Do not mount the motor where temperature, humidity, vibration, and shock will exceed the specifications. Do not subject the motor to high levels of electromagnetic radiation. Do not mount the drive in a horizontal position. To ensure maximum heat transfer for maximum power output, and to provide a good ground, mount the servo motor firmly to a dry and solid mounting surface.
