Product Description

IC800MCUB12160XD is a part of the VersaMotion series manufactured by GE Fanuc Automation. The device is a Stepping Motor Cube that is amplified with DeviceNet. The Stepping Motor Cube is an integrated Stepping Motor and 3-amp drive combined into one device.  The integral drive features 24-48 V DC power input. IC800MCUB12160XD contains an internal NEMA 23 stepping motor. The stepping motor functions within industrial areas and improves performance within systems.

DeviceNet technology increases the cube by 50,000 steps per revolution. The technology also comes with innate diagnostics. The IC800MCUB12160XD is able to communicate over network channels, read motor data, perform diagnostics, and respond to commands. The technology within the cube allows it to function as a multi-axis system, which reduces wiring, integration, and components.  As a result, the cube streamlines system performance and improves industrial efficiency. The combined interface of the cube, with the addition of DeviceNet technology, allows for high-speed processing of a number of functions.

Three versions are available, ranging from the 50 oz-in IC800MCUB12160XD cube to 175 oz-in torque options. This device is 1.6 lbs with maximum mechanical specifications of 3.7 L. The location where the device is used is essential. The cube requires an environment that is temperature controlled and free of pollutants. Users should take care to protect themselves from open wiring during use.  The Stepping Motor Cube connects to the DeviceNet port through a micro-connector. Initially, factory settings of the cube’s current output are only set to 60% and can be adjusted as needed. IC800MCUB12160XD also features overload protection on its outputs.
