This, and the other HMI touch screens, were initially developed by General Electric, though they are now out of production. The QPL-21100-C2P unit is one of their 12.1 inch touch screens, the largest setup. The dimensions that this unit is built with are the largest as well, to house the viewing panel: a height of 10.7 inches/271.78 mm, a width of 13.62 inches/346 mm, and a depth of 4.45 inches/113 mm. This model weighs 8.4 lbs, or 3.81 kg.

The QPL-21100-C2P module is built with a thin film transistor unit, and is complete with a full color display. While measured diagonally as 12.1 inches, the viewing panel that displays the informational graphics has a height of 7.35 inches/186 mm, and a width of 9.8 in/249 mm. The resolution that the image holds is 600 x 800 pixels.

The hardware that comes included on the QPL-21100-C2P’s frame is a set of serial input and output ports, as well as a download port. With software, the model is capable of connecting with all of the major programmable logic devices.
