This unit is a part of the QuickPanel series, a lineup of a touch screen interface panels from General Electric. Their industrial automation division no longer has this model, or any of these products in production, but, our technicians at AX Control Inc are fully capable of restoring them to peak operational condition. The QPJ1D100S2P model is a part of their Junior designated models, with a 4.7 diagonal inch viewing area on its touch screen, and a thin profile, only 3 inches. These models are cost-effective, practical alternatives to a variety of several discrete devices that include physical push buttons, and pilot lights to message centers. The QPJ models can have additional free form static and dynamic graphics added onto the screen for optimal information display to the operator on hand.
Despite the small frame of the viewing screen, the image resolution is shown in a detailed, crisp display of 320 square pixels by 240 square pixels. The graphics are all shown to the operators in a full color display, as opposed to monochrome.
Integrated into the unit is a pair of connection ports, the RS 232 connector port, and the RS 485 connector port, which allows the QPJ1D100S2P model to communicate with all major types of intelligent electronic devices, via a ModBus ready to use protocol, at 19.20 kilobits per second.
The QPJ1D100S2P is kept safe by a NEMA graded, IP-65 rated protective layered case. This 4x/12 NEMA grade case keeps invasive dust particles from the model’s internal hardware, as well and protecting from water damage, heat, corrosion from humidity, and from rough blunt force trauma from workplace accidents.
