Product Description

GE Fanuc Automation manufactures this Durus series PROFIBUS-DP slave communications expansion module. IC210EPS001 has a 24 VDC power source and a mature lifecycle status. Its supported protocol is PROFIBUS-DP Slave V0, and its network data rate is 9.6K to 12Meg. The dimensions of this unit are 38 mm x 90 mm x 58 mm. Only one communication expansion unit is supported on Durus controllers.

The expansion module IC210EPS001 always operates as a network slave. 5 different operating “modules” can be set up on the GSD file, including “Read/Write 14 bytes,” “Read 7 bytes,” “Read 2 bytes,” “Write 2 bytes,” and “Write 3 bytes.”

The PROFIBUS Expansion Module has a terminating resistor switch (for use if this unit is the last slave on the Network), 24VDC power supply terminals, a power LED, a BUS LED, a connector, a DIP switch, and a 9-pole socket PROFIBUS DP connection. The power supply voltage is DC 24V. The operation ambient temperature must be between 0-55 degrees Celsius. The operation humidity must remain at 90% non-condensing relative humidity.

The vibration resistance is 0.075 mm amplitude and 1.0 g acceleration, and the impact resistance peaks at 15 grams for 11 ms. The slave output and controller synchronize via a command from the PROFIBUS master. The user may set the station address using the switch on the module. This module can be installed directly or on the DIN rail. Refer to the manual for more information on the PROFIBUS-DP slave specifications, as well as installation instructions and danger warnings.
