This optional device is sized for use with the 6K3$243020X1A1 adjustable frequency drive. The 6K3$243020X1A1 adjustable frequency drive is matched with the  6KE$34DBR020 dynamic braking resistor to obtain the maximum results.

The 6K3$243020X1A1 adjustable frequency drive operated in constant torque applications can obtain faster process and product cycle times that otherwise would be unattainable without use of the dynamic braking resistor option. To improve the safety of personnel and equipment, particular processes may need to have a quick stop feature so the process is terminated quickly. This helps prevent injury and damage to equipment.

For the 6KE$34DBR020 dynamic braking resistor, the braking torque is 20 percent in the built in resistor and 150 percent in the optional resistor. In the CT applications, the duty factor is 5 and the braking time is 10 seconds. For VT applications, the duty factor is 4 and the braking time is 8 seconds. The maximum KW is 1.4 and the total OHms is 48.0.
