Product Description

The 7VTHD504CD01 is a General Electric 40 HP Adjustable Speed Drive. It was made to be a part of the DC300 series which is no longer being supported by GE. The 7VTHD504CD01 has an input power rating of 230 volts, 113 amps, 60 hertz, and is 3-phase. It has an output power rating of 240 volts and 139 amps.

The 7VTHD504CD01 is in an open-style chassis. The faceplate of the chassis has a small exposed panel that can allow the user to directly assess the PCB that is directly under it. Attached to the bottom of the chassis is a single fan assembly that helps to keep the air flowing through the internal drive components. There are mounting brackets on the back and sides of the drive that help to mount it onto a flat surface or panel. Washers and bolts should be used to keep this heavy drive securely mounted.

 There is a printed circuit board that is exposed on the bottom of the 7VTHD504CD01. Several components can be accessed on this board without needing to remove the chassis. On the top board, two terminal strips, an induction coil, a ribbon cable connection, and a 25-pin female RS-232 port can be accessed.  

On the top of the 7VTHD504CD01 are a power supply in a NEMA Type 4 enclosure, a 200-amp 700 VAC semiconductor, and three 300-amp 500 VAC semiconductors. There is also a metal terminal strip at the top and the wiring that goes between these components and the lower part of the drive.
