The input power is 230 VAC. All cabling must comply with local and national regulation codes. Always use proper fusing that is made according to local regulation. Twisted screen ends spoil the screening effect at high frequencies. The screen must be continued on the lowest possible HF impedance if it is necessary to break the screen to install a motor isolator or motor contactor. Connect the motor cable screen to both the frequency converter de-coupling plate and to the motor’s metal housing.

When earthing, keep the earth wire connections as short as possible. Appropriately earth the frequency converter for safety reasons because of the high leakage current. ELCB relays, multiple protective earthing can be used as extra protection, provided that local safety regulations are complied with. A bad electrical connection results from a tightening torque that is too-tight or too loose. Protection for the supply side in case of component breakdown inside the drive involves the use of fuses and/or circuit breakers.
