Product Description
General Electric’s Mark V board, the DS200SHVIG1BBB, is a Silicon Controller Rectifier (SCR) High-Voltage Interface card. As a member of this series, drives across the GE brand can accept and operate this board. The SCR bridge of the drive is provided as an interface point with the power supply when this card is installed. A number of drive components, including the PCCA (power connect card), the power supply, and the instrumentation card benefit from the interface medium provided by the board.
When DS200SHVIG1BBB is installed it provides a communication point for critical voltage signals to be transmitted to other parts of the drive. Inputted signals ranging as low as -500 mV to as high as 500 mV are converted by this card. These voltages become differential frequency outputs ranging from as low as 0 kHz to as high as 500 kHz. These new frequencies are sent to and collected by the power supply card found on the drive. This card also features seventeen configurable jumpers that include 10:1 current transformers. Additional attenuation capabilities are provided by these jumpers for both the line and bridge voltages. Three indicator LEDs built onto the board will alert users when any fuses are blown.
Be sure to follow all manufacturer-provided installation parameters when installing this board into its drive. Both the board and the drive should operate as intended when these are followed. Wiring DS200SHVIG1BBB properly is necessary for ensuring proper drive function. Please review the installation instructions provided by the series manual and datasheet. Technical support for the Mark V series, including this board, was originally provided by the manufacturer, General Electric.
