Product Description
The GE Shunt Connector Board DS200SHCBG1A features one 2-pin connector and two terminals for the bridge and motor signal connections. When you replace the GE Shunt Connector Board DS200SHCBG1A, you must disconnect the 3 wires from the old board and reconnect them to the replacement board. It is best practice to create a tag for each of the cables and wrap the tag around the cable or use a sticker that can be pressed on the cable to attach it. To disconnect the 2-pin cable, use one hand to keep the board from moving and use the other hand to grasp the cable connector and pull it out of the board connector.
To disconnect the bridge and motor cables, use a wrench or other hand tool to loosen and remove the nuts on the terminals. Slide the cable off the terminal and move them out of the work area. Then, slide the cable over the terminal and secure it with one nut. Use a hand tool to tighten it enough to make it snug on the terminal. Over tightening the nut might cause the terminal to break.
Always make sure the wrist strap you are wearing is properly connected because otherwise it cannot protect the board and the drive from static. One end must be wrapped around your arm, hand, or wrist. The other end features a clip that must be connected to a metal surface that is free of paint. Some wrist strap plug into a connector on the workbench. This provides an easy and secure connection.
