Product Description
The GE DC Power Supply and Instrumentation Board DS200SDCIG1AGB serves as an interface to DC2000 drives. There are situations in which changes you make to the configuration parameters of the drive might change the behavior of the DS200SDCIG1AGB. If that happens, you might mistakenly believe that the board has malfunctioned and call for repair; then, remove the drive from service on the manufacturing line.
Connect a serial cable from the drive to a laptop or other device that has the configuration editing tools installed. If possible, overwrite the latest configuration file with the configuration file that was being used when the board last functioned correctly. Restart the drive and if the board now functions without error, you’ll know the cause of the error was a configuration change. You can use the editing software tool to inspect the configuration file and locate the change. You might be able to correct the error and reinstall the latest configuration. This results in less down time and service expense.
A protective plastic cover is located over each jumper block on the board. Before you remove a jumper, remove the plastic cover and retain it for future use. To protect the jumper block from dust, dirt, and harsh chemicals, replace the plastic cover on the jumper block after you move the jumper.
The individual you have service your board must understand the equipment at your site and how all the equipment was installed. Also, because of the high voltage, the servicer must have the training and skills to work in that environment.
