About the DS200RTBAG5

The GE Power Excitation Board DS200RTBAG5 is an optional board that is installed in the Mark V Series drive cabinet and it features ten relays that are driven either directly from the pilot relays or remotely by the user. The DS200RTBAG5 board is engineered to provide a long service life; however, the board might become defective and need to be replaced. If that is the case and you order the replacement board for the same model it might appear to be different, but this would only be an aesthetic misalignment. The various connectors available to the assembly of this DS200RTBAG5 Relay Terminal Board Assembly might be in different locations on the board and the components might be a different color or a different shape. With this being true, all versions of the same DS200RTBAG5 board are compatible with each other; so you can safely replace one board with a newer version and it will behave the same in the drive and provide the same functionality.

The RTBA board's pluggable circuits are designed with holding clips that fasten the wire securely. To release a wire from the plug, press down on the clip and pull the wire from the connector.  To connect a wire to the terminal, press the clip down and insert the wire. The DS200RTBAG5 Relay Terminal board's primary functionality is revealed through its inclusion of 34 pluggable terminals; which can be used to configure some aspects of the board functionality. In addition to this, several relays and connectors are available for use by the administrator of this DS200RTBAG5 Relay Terminal Board Assembly. This DS200RTBAG5 Relay Terminal Board has ten total relays in its internal assembly; each relay labelled with a different reference designator ranging from K20 to K29. As specified in original, Allen-Bradley instructional manual materials; the K20-K26-labelled relays in the assembly of this DS200RTBAG5 Mark V Series product offering are DPDT-type relays, while K27-K29-labelled relays exist as 4PDT-type relays. 130 V ac metal oxide varistors or MOVs should reinforce and protect the inputs and outputs of every single relay relevant to this DS200RTBAG5 Relay Terminal Board. All of these aforementioned hardware components should recieve some basis of protection from this Mark V Series product's normal style of PCB coating.

Frequently Asked Questions about DS200RTBAG5

Does the DS200RTBAG5 board need to be installed in the exciter/drive cabinet?

No! The DS200RTBAG5 board is completely optional and does not have to be mounted in the exciter cabinet. When the RTBA board is used within the exciter drive, it will provide ten relays that are driven remotely by the user or by the 531X307LTB LAN Input Output Terminal Board. Seven of the ten relays used have Form C contacts, and the remaining relays have four Form C contacts.

What is the coil voltage for the DS200RTBAG5 model?

Due to the lack of information on this model, it is unknown what the coil voltage could be, but due to having information on previous models, it can be assumed that the coil voltage is greater than 110 VDC or 115 VAC. Refer to the GEI-100617 Manual for more information on the Relay Terminal Boards.
