Static electricity can build up in the DS200PCCAG1ABB board and damage the board if guidelines are not adhered to that mitigate the static build up. For example, always wear a grounding strap when you handle, touch, or move the board. And before you install the board, keep it in the static-protective bag. Touch the bag to an unpainted metal surface and keep it against the surface for a few seconds.

However they tend to be delicate and require special handling instructions to prevent damage. The wires in ribbon cables are often thin and not designed for rough handling. When you disconnect a ribbon cable do not pull the connector out by pulling the ribbon cable. Instead, place you hand on the connector attached to the ribbon cable. Then disconnect by pulling the connector out of the connector on the board.
