Product Description
The DS200MBHAG2AFC board is a part of General Electric's Mark V series and serves as a Multi-Bridge Hub Communications Board (MBHA). Its primary purpose is to establish connections between adjacent drive and multi-bridge systems using a fiber-optic communications link.
Within the MBHA board, there are three groups available, and the DS200MBHAG2AFC board belongs to the G2 group. The G2 board has a different function for its JP1 jumper, which is utilized for normal operations as well as special settings for factory board resets. The specific jumper configurations can be found in table one of the GEI-100172A MBHA Multi-Bridge Hub Communications Board Instruction Guide.
The DS200MBHAG2AFC board offers up to seven pairs of fiber-optic transmitters and receivers. These pairs are responsible for Mbaud data links and are located on the edge of the MBHA board. To access the receiver and transmitter pairings, duplex fiber-optic cables are utilized. Data links control one through control five facilitate communication with the Multi-Bridge Signal Processing Card (SPCB) board, which can consist of up to six drives. The power supply inputs for the DS200MBHAG2AFC board are received via the TBPSA and TBPSB terminal board connectors. Additionally, a stab connector labeled as GSTAB is present on this board.
The DS200MBHAG2AFC board incorporates twenty-two test points, each with a unique description. For instance, TP13 represents the test point responsible for transmitting signals to the fourth bridge of the board. These test points are located within the middle and along the bottom half of the MBHA board.
