Product Description

General Electric developed the DS200MBHAG2A as a multi-bridge hub communication card for the Mark V series of boards. Fiber optic communications links are provided by this board for the drive it is installed in. Applications for this board range across a number of GE series drives and automation machinery. Adjacent drive systems as well as multi-bridge system drives can utilize the communications links found on this board.

DS200MBHAG2A includes a number of intricate board features that perform all communication and interface jobs. Communications primarily rely on the receiver/transmitter pairs found on the seven 1 Mbaud fiber optic data links that line the edge of the board. Both local and broadcast modes for the drive are controlled by the three fiber optic logic inputs found on the communications card. An integrated logic control system provides the board with the ability to run properly without user interference. 22 test points are found on the board, allowing users to test the system’s signal status, board commons, and power supply. Acceptable power supplies for this device can rate from 15 to 30 VDC.
