Product Description
DS200LDCCG1AAA is a communications board developed by General Electric. Specifically, this board is a drive control and LAN communications board. A member of the Mark V series, this unit was developed to interface with GE DIRECTO-MATIC 2000 drives and exciters. Users are provided with an array of capabilities when using this unit, such as integrated operator interface and drive resets. Microprocessors control and process motor and I/O functions as well as LAN (local area network) communications.
Both I/O and drive controls are integrated into the four on-board microprocessors located on DS200LDCCG1AAA. I/O peripherals such as controllers and counters are found in the drive control processor (DCP). Analog to digital and digital to analog conversions are performed by this processor. A motor control processor (MCP) allows for digital I/O communications as well as motor controls. A co-motor control processor (CMP) works with the MCP board when additional processing power is required. If any calculations are too math intensive, the CMP will take over and calculate the algorithms. The final processor is the LAN control processor (LCP). This circuitry can accept five bus systems, including DLAN+, DLAN, Genius, CPL, and C-bus. Overall drive control can be performed using the integrated operator interface system. This alphanumeric keypad and 16 character display provides editing access to system diagnostics and settings.
Installation parameters provided by the manufacturer should be followed to ensure that DS200LDCCG1AAA operates without issue. Both the device manual and datasheet contain a complete wiring and installation guide. The manufacturer, General Electric, was the original technical support provider for this board.
