Product Description
DS3828BH3AH Mark IV Cell Stack Assembly
The DS3828BH3AH is a GE Mark IV cell stack assembly. The Mark IV, which was part of the Speedtronic line of gas and steam turbine management, was the first of this series to offer triple modular redundant control. This type of control offers multiple backups on protection parameters and critical controls, and typically reduces downtime generated by equipment failure. The DS3828BH3AH is available through AX Control as a reconditioned unit and as a new, never used liquidated surplus unit.
Cell stack assemblies like the DS3828BH3AH are made up from MEA, or Membrane Electrode Assembly, created from catalyst layers working as an anode on one side and a cathode on the other of a gas diffusion media, all merged together. These MEAs produce voltages of less than 1 V each and are stacked together to create higher output voltages. MEAs are then sandwiched between bipolar plates to create a flow field that allows gases to flow over the charged MEA.
For a thorough picture of the operation and use of the DS3828BH3AH, please refer to technical support materials initially provided to customers by GE. These publications, which include data sheets, manuals, and user guides, will also have detailed step-by-step information about installation, handling, and proper maintenance of the equipment.
