The DS3820FE1A1B1B is built into an external but open housing. The unit is designed with drilled openings in its base that allow the unit to be screwed down and secured in place.  Within the center of the housing, the DS3820FE1A1B1B holds a rectifier stack bolted to the solid side of the housing.  The rectifier has four screw connects with wired connections to each.  These fit through an opening in the top edge of the housing so the other end of the wires can terminate at externally place components.  

The externally placed components include a terminal block and a bank of fuses and plugs.  Some of these have covers.
