Product Description

The DS3815PLNF is a PCB manufactured by GE for the Mark IV.  The MKIV was designed by GE to manage gas/steam turbine systems. It can automate processes like startup and shutdown, and it can also protect the turbine system from issues like loss of flame, vibration, fire, and high pressure.  Compared to earlier Speedtronic systems like the MKI or MKII, the MKIV has a significantly lower turbine outage rate.

The DS3815PLNF is built with over fifty integrated circuits on the board.  This includes two oscillating chips and an LCC socket. The board is built out with three TP test points and four LEDs.  The LEDs are marked IMOK (amber,) and CONFIG, PEND, and DIAG (red.)

The DS3815PLNF has one right-angled female connector which can be used to connect to other PCBs.  This connector populates the entire left edge of the board. It also has one right-angled male connector marked 218A4637-P1.   The board has sixteen jumper switches and four resistor network arrays.

One edge of the DS3815PLNF has been lettered from A through J and marked with triangles.  Nylon extractor clips, which aid technicians during both insertion and extraction, have been added to two corners.  These nylon clips can be used as handles, but are designed to be used as a lever point to push the PCB out of the frame or chassis without damage to components.

AX Control will ship the DS3815PLNF protected by a static-reducing covering or sleeve.  Before installation of the part, review of any OEM paperwork like data sheets or manuals is recommended.  GE provided all technical support for the Mark IV series.
