Product Description

The DS3810CLCB1A1A is a component manufactured by GE for their Mark IV steam/gas turbine management system.  The MKIV is designed to monitor temperature, power supply, and speed of the turbine. It can also automate turbine operations like startup, control sequencing, and shutdown.  The system continuously monitors turbine performance using an enhanced operator interface and offers higher reliability with fewer turbine outages compared to earlier Speedtronic systems.

The DS3810CLCB1A1A mounts by screws to the larger DS3815DMCA.  The boards communicate with each other through a ribbon connecting cable located on the DS3810CLCB1A1A that plugs into a vertical pin mating connector on the motherboard.  The DS3810CLCB1A1A has a separate right-angled mating connector (218A4637P5) along the opposite edge from the ribbon cable.

The DS3810CLCB1A1A is built with three jumpers.  These shunt jumpers allow the user to configure circuits as they need for their use.  J1, for example, may be set to INT or EX. Each jumper on DS3810CLCB1A1A has two positions.  

The DS3810CLCB1A1A is built with thirteen circuits and two resistor network arrays.  Resistor network arrays may be used as terminals for DDRAM or SDRAM or may be used for voltage division.   Circuits include oscillators, octal buffer/line drivers, and octal Tri-state buffers/line drivers/line receivers, which have improved noise rejection and high fanout outputs.

All components on the board are marked. Capacitors on the DS3810CLCB1A1A tend to be ceramic.  Resistors are primarily ceramic metal film.
