Product Description

The DS3800NTRF1F1E is a printed circuit board from GE for the Mark IV series.  The Mark IV is designed for gas and steam turbine management and is built on triple-redundant backups on all critical controls and protection parameters.  These intentional overlaps allow the Mark IV to shift responsibilities as it needs to keep the system running.

The DS3800NTRF1F1E is designed as a PS7 control card.  It is alignment marked on two edges (top and right,) and is factory drilled twice in each corner.  It has five TP test points on the left edge. These are labeled EFBK, VFBK, NI5, ACOM, and P15. It has one amber LED, one jumper switch, one rotary potentiometer, and two thermistors.  Thermistors are electrical resistors whose resistance are greatly reduced by heating. They are used for measurement and control. The board is built with wire wound through-hole resistors as well as carbon composite and ceramic covered metal film resistors.   Capacitors are of varying material, including ceramic.

The DS3800NTRF1F1E has one Series 3-terminal Negative Regulator and 5-Volt Regulator.  Both are surrounded by heat sinks. It has four smaller transistors. The board has two communication instrument relays marked 58614.   The board has two fuses. In the center of the board is a screw mounted component rated for 500V surrounded by top hat DIN rail.

The DS3800NTRF1F1E has various molex straight pin connectors.  These are female connectors. JB is a 2 pin connector, JA and  JC are 4 pin connectors and JD is a 5 pin connector.

The board is populated with several circuits, including low power low offset voltage quad comparators with an offset voltage specification as low as 2 mV max for all four comparators, and dual operational amplifiers.
