Product Description

The DS3800NTIA1A1A is a PCB manufactured by GE for the Mark IV series.  The MKIV was GE’s third “Speedtronic” gas/steam management system. It was built on integrated platforms run by microprocessor.  These platforms monitored the turbine system non-stop for issues like high pressure, vibration, and fire, and used a two-out-of-three voting system to make decisions to keep the turbine running optimally.  

The DS3800NTIA1A1A is built with a transistor, two jumper switches, ten circuits,  and one resistor network array. The transistor has a heat sink installed to help dissipate heat.  

The DS3800NTIA1A1A  has one PCB mating connector, located along the entire left edge of the board.  It is a female right-angled connector.

The DS3800NTIA1A1A has eight test points.  Located nearby is the board’s single light emitting diode.  This LED is amber.

The DS3800NTIA1A1A has several locations where there are no components placed.  One of these is an area toward the bottom of the board where a distinctive woven pattern is printed on the board.  This is flanked on either side by areas of spare PTH, or plated through-holes.

The DS3800NTIA1A1A is built primarily with aluminum electrolytic capacitors and ceramic covered metal film resistors. Resistors and capacitors of other materials may be used on the board.    Components on the board are marked.
