Product Description

The DS3800NTBD1C1D is a termination module manufactured by GE (General Electric) for the Mark IV series.  This series was created to manage gas/steam turbine systems and has triple-redundant backups on critical controls and parameters, which allows it to switch control as needed to keep the system running.  

The  DS3800NTBD1C1D works in conjunction with the larger DS3820STMA card.  Termination modules are created to connect Input/Output cards and field wiring.  They are often DIN rail mounted. Termination modules may be special function, digital or analog.  

The  DS3800NTBD1C1D is a small auxiliary card with factory drilling designed to accept DIN rail screw mounts.  There are two additional screw mounts parallel to these mounting holes toward the center of the card. The board is marked with two codes: 6FA05 and 6DA05.  

The  DS3800NTBD1C1D has twelve metal film resistors of a single value.  These are placed in a parallel line on one board edge. The resistors do not run in numerical order as marked; rather, the first three resistors are in the order of R1, R3, R2.  

PCB mating connectors on the  DS3800NTBD1C1D are marked like jumper switches.  The first connector, J1, is a female 37-pin connector with two screw mounts.  J2 is a 37-pin male connector with two screw mounts. J3, which is marked 218A4807 P5 87942-5, is a vertical male 38-pin connector.  

The  DS3800NTBD1C1D has an additional twelve jumper switches, which begin at J4.  Each of these may be either to O or to T. Jumpers on the DS3800NTBD1C1D are placed in one of four labeled rows.  Row one, which is labeled RST, includes J4 through J6. Row two is labeled ADB2 and includes J7 through J9. Row three is labeled ADB5 and includes J10 through J12.  Row four is labeled PAR and includes J13 through J15.
