Product Description

The DS3800NSCC1E1B  is a GE Speed/current regulator board created as a component for the Mark IV system.  Designed for gas/steam turbine management, the Mark IV has triple redundant back-ups on all protection parameters and critical controls.  These intentional overlaps help limit electronics-related downtime.

The DS3800NSCC1E1B has one Augat connector, which is located toward the center of the card.  It can also communicate with other PCBs via its two mating connectors (218A4553-1 AMP 533002-1 and 218A4637P187936-1) which are located on the short ends of the board.  These are both right-angled connectors.

The DS3800NSCC1E1B has three transistors placed on the board. It has one amber light emitting diode or LED (labeled IMOK,) and fourteen test points, which are all labeled.  It has inserter/extractor clips installed. Extractors help with both extraction and insertion of the board, especially when space is limited, by giving the technician both a lever point to pull the board from its location as well as a handle to use, rather than manipulating the board by its surface, which might damage components.  

The DS3800NSCC1E1B is built with over twenty circuits.  This includes quad 2-input positive nand gates with a supply voltage of 7V and triple 3-input nand gates with low power schottky.

The DS3800NSCC1E1B is built with various capacitors, diodes, and resistors.  Capacitors may be ceramic, polyester film or other material. Most resistors on the DS3800NSCC1E1B are made of ceramic-covered metal film.  The board is drilled in each corner and has been marked on one edge for alignment.
