Product Description

The DS3800NMEC1F1F is a PCB designed by GE as a component for their Mark IV series, which was created for steam  or gas turbine management. This system has triple redundant backups on all critical controls to reduce downtime generated by electronics failure.  

The DS3800NMEC1F1F has several nylon spacer pins attached along its edges.  These are designed to support companion or auxiliary boards and maintain enough space between them to protect the components on the DS3800NMEC1F1F.  The DS3800NMEC1F1F includes six connectors for communication, including two (male) vertical pin connectors that are marked DA and DB. There are three right-angled male connectors (218A4637P2) placed on the right edge of the board.  These are marked JA, JE and JH. The last connector is a male 6-pin right angled header.

The DS3800NMEC1F1F is built with ten transistors, seventeen (TP) test points, two jumpers, and one rotary potentiometer.  The dial of the potentiometer has ten hash marks and is numbered at the zero, fifty and 100 places. Resistors on the board tend to be metal film. Capacitors may be made of ceramic, polyester film or metalized polycarbonate.

The DS3800NMEC1F1F is built with multiple circuits, including a 6.000 Mhz crystal oscillator, 4-bit D latches that can act as temporary storage for binary information as it moves between processing units and input/output units, quad voltage comparators that can interface directly with CMOS and TTL, and operational amplifiers.
