Product Description

The DS3800NMEA1J1E is a motor excitation board from General Electric. This is only one version of this board.  We have many different versions of this board available within our inventory, so please order carefully.   The DS3800NMEA1J1E works within the Mark IV Speedtronic system, which was designed to offer higher reliability through its fault-tolerant TMR architecture.  This system, which was designed with modularized hardware, can be used for the management of both large and small turbine systems. 

The DS3800NMEA1J1E is used within the Mark IV turbine control system as a motor excitation board. The motor excitation system is responsible for using DC current to keep the turbine spinning via feedback or closed-loop control. 

This board is heavily populated.  On its right short edge, the board has three right-angled cable connectors and one right-angled pin connector.  One of these connectors has clips to keep the cable securely in place.   Over thirty integrated circuits are mounted on the top board surface.  Additionally, the board uses potentiometers (variable resistors), resistors, capacitors, transistors of various designs, diodes, and four TP test points.  The board does not have an attached front faceplate.  However, it is designed with standoffs already installed to allow for the installation of auxiliary boards.  These boards are not part of this purchase.
