Product Description

The DS3800NHVB by GE is a PCB from their Mark IV line. The Mark IV was created for gas/steam turbine control and can be used to monitor emissions (fuel, air, and water.) It has more efficient management than earlier Speedtronic systems due to its ability to automate some procedures, like control sequencing, startup, and shutdown.   The DS3800NHVB is designed to function as a high voltage card. It is drilled in each corner.

The DS3800NHVB has one multi-pin mating connector to communicate with other PCBs.  This is a right-angled male connector. The board also has eleven header connectors with a varying number of pins.  

The DS3800NHVB is populated with several jumper switches.  The board has six transformers located on its surface, several contract points, and a number of LEDs.  

Many of the capacitors located on the surface of the DS3800NHVB are made of polyester vinyl.  There are six large polyester vinyl capacitors located down the center line of the board. The board also uses capacitors of other materials, such as aluminum electrolytic capacitors and ceramic capacitors.    The board uses both carbon composite (CCR) and metal film resistors.
