Product Description

The DS3800NDMA from GE has been manufactured as a Div Multiply card for the Mark IV Speedtronic system. The Mark IV, designed for gas and steam turbine control, relies on integrated chipsets with two-out-of-three voting redundancies to reduce downtime caused by electronics failure.  The  DS3800NDMA  has the following specifications:

  • It is factory-drilled in each corner.

  • It has extractor clips installed in the right bottom and top corner. Extractor clips allow technicians to insert or extract PCBs from restricted areas with ease.

  • It is designed to accept an auxiliary board.  The DS3800NDMA accepts daughter board DS3800DDMA1A1A.  DS3800NDMA  is designed with four PCB vertical pins (nylon) to support the corners of the auxiliary board, as well as twenty taller locking pins (brass, nickel plate) to keep the auxiliary board in place.

  • It has two LEDs on the right edge.  One is red, marked 'gain,' and the other is amber, marked 'imok.'

  • It has ten trim potentiometers lined up along its top edge.

  • It is alignment marked.  It is also marked '6FA03' and '6BA04.'

  • It has one male connector along its left edge.  This connector (218A4553-1 AMP) allows for communication with other PCBs.  The board is numbered behind this component by tens 10-80.

  • It has six jumper switches.  J1, J2, and J3 can be set at "test" or "run."

  • It is built with 26 integrated circuits.

  • It has multiple resistors and capacitors, including a large capacitor, marked 708A1 100V M/e 10.0+/- 5%.

  • It has 14 TP test points parallel to its right edge.

  • It has two PCB reinforcement bars.  These are anodized aluminum and are located along the long dimension of the board at top and bottom.   The reinforcement bars are in accordance with IEEE recommendations.
