About the DS3800NDIC
The DS3800NDIC is featured on General Electric’s Speedtronic Mark IV Turbine Series. The DS3800NDIC is a Mother Board and does have a section for a Daughter Board to be installed on four small pegs. The DS3800NDIC has:
- two thin yellow capacitors
- four small yellow capacitors
- two medium yellow capacitors
- one large yellow capacitor
- three extra-large yellow capacitors
- three light blue diodes
- three large silver diodes
- one large black diode.
- three small black transistors
- over seventy small resistors
- four large dark brown resistors
- one blue Variable Resistor or Potentiometer
- eleven integrated circuits
The transistors are made of a semiconductive material whose purpose is to amplify or alter the electrical signals and electrical power. A resistor is used to restrict the flow of energy throughout the circuit board. The resistors have multiple colored strips that correspond with a chart that indicates how much energy the resistor can restrict. The Variable Resistor is an adjustable resistor that the worker can decide the resistance by using a small screw in the top of the resistor. The integrated circuits are split into two categories programmable and not programmable. The programmable integrated circuits are called EPROM and can be updated as needed. The non-programmable integrated circuits are called EEPROM.
