Product Description

The analog-to-digital converter card DS3800NADA1F1G manufactured by General Electric works as part of the Speedtronic Mark IV system. The Mark IV was designed for gas and steam turbine control.

The DS3800NADA1F1G has the following specs:

  • -one amber LED, positioned to the right

  • -three TP test points, all labeled. Positioned to the right

  • -factory-drilled each corner

  • -two extractor clips top and bottom right

  • -three PCB reinforcements installed. These are made of anodized aluminum and are in accordance with IEEE recommendations.

  • -two potentiometers positioned near the top of the board. These are for voltage division.

  • -spare plated through holes, located near the center

  • -two connectors for communicating with other PCBs. There is one male (218A455-1) and one female (218A4637P2.)

  • -marked for alignment. Marked '6BA09.'

  • -26 integrated circuits. These include crystal oscillators, up/down binary counters, and octal buffers. The analog-to-digital converter chip sits at U3. This chip provides all functions necessary for A/D conversion. It combines a 12-bit ADC with an internal clock, track/hold amplifier and reference. Compatible with 8- and 16-bit microprocessors and digital signal processors (data access times of 57 ns.)

  • -multiple ceramic covered metal film resistors and small capacitors populate the board
